International Desk: Several explosions have taken place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. A statement from the Saudi-led coalition blamed Houthi rebels in Yemen for the missile strikes. A spokesman for the Saudi alliance, Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki, said in a statement that Huthi rebels had fired missiles at the capital, Riyadh, and three drone strikes in the province of Jizan. A fourth drone strike struck in the southwestern town of Khamis Musait.

However, Saudi Arabia has claimed that the missiles and bomb-laden drones fired by the Houthis were able to repel the attacks. Al-Ekbaria television broadcast several images of Riyadh destroying missiles in the sky. At least one house was reportedly damaged in the attack.

However, there was no immediate comment from the Huthi rebels. Earlier, Houthi rebels attacked Saudi Arabia. Earlier this month, US President Joe Biden announced that his country would stop supporting the Saudi alliance in Yemen.
