EB representative: Islamic University (EB) student-advisor and Bangla Department President Prof. Saidur Rahman died while undergoing life support at a hospital with complications of coronavirus infection in the lungs. Family and department sources have confirmed the matter.
He died at Ibn Sina Hospital in the capital at around 6 am on Thursday (February 25th). It is known that the health examination on January 26, Professor. Saidur Rahman's wife Corona came positive. He was undergoing treatment at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Dhaka from February 2 when his lung complications increased. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Ibn Sina Hospital for life support. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and numerous relatives. Meanwhile, Dr. Rahman's death has been mourned by the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Abdus Salam and Acting Registrar Md. Ataur Rahman.
In his condolence message, the Vice-Chancellor said, "We lost a skilled and qualified teacher in his death." His emptiness is not to be filled. He prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
