Withdrawal of examination suspension order of 7 colleges affiliated to DU

News Desk: Postponed examinations of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University will be held. A previous meeting at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (February 24th) revoked the earlier decision to suspend the exams. An emergency meeting was held at noon on the movement and demands of the students of seven colleges. The demands of the students were accepted in the meeting.

Education Ministry Public Relations Officer MA Khair confirmed the information. He said that although the meeting was scheduled to be held at 7 pm today, it started at noon due to the movement of students. The Minister of Education is virtually involved in the meeting. Dipu Moni, Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, Secretary of the Department of Secondary Higher Education. Mahbub Hossain, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Principal ASM Maksud Kamal, Chief Coordinator of Seven Colleges, Principals of Colleges including Coordinators of Seven Colleges.

Students are protesting by blocking the road at the Nilkhet intersection demanding revocation of the suspension order of the ongoing exams and reopening of the hall and campus. It is learned that the students are protesting in Nilkhet from 9 am on Wednesday (February 24). Professor IK Selim Ullah Khandaker, the principal of Dhaka College, the coordinator of seven colleges, came there around 12 noon.
