The cuckoos of spring are come bad times but they will not be in the team: Obaidul Quader

News Desk:  Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that those who were with the Awami League in difficult times, those who have left should be evaluated. When the cuckoos of spring come again, they will not be at the party (Awami League). He was speaking as the chief guest at a special extended meeting of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League at the convention hall of Hotel Imperial in the capital's Gulistan on Wednesday (February 24th).

The general secretary of Awami League said that after today's extended meeting, the work of forming committees of all units has to be completed within the next three months as per Article 35 (1) of the constitution. After the formation of the unit committee, the committee has to be formed by organizing a conference of the ward Awami League within the next three months as per section 35 (2).

He said that after the conference of all the wards is over, the conference of the Thana Awami League will have to be completed within the next three months. I have informed about this in a meeting with the president and general secretary of the metropolis. Anyone who fails to follow these instructions must be held accountable. Quader said no one would be spared if any attempt was made to break party discipline, adding that strict action would be taken against those violating party discipline at the next meeting of the party's executive parliament.

At this time, he also commented that a section of the people is engaging in anti-national activities through various social media including Facebook, and is continuing the international activities to remove the government and install a puppet government. He called upon the leaders and workers of all levels of the Awami League to unite against this malpractice.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Education Minister was present as a special guest at the day-long meeting. Dipu Moni and Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam. President of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League Alhaj Abu Ahmed Monnafi presided over the function. General Secretary Humayun Kabir conducted the meeting. Presidents and general secretaries of different thanas, wards of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League were present at the time. The condolence motion was read out at the beginning of the meeting.
