News Desk: On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, activities have resumed after the one-day import-export trade with India was stopped through Benapole port. The workers are busy unloading the goods.

On Monday (February 22) from 10 am on this route, truck drivers with imported and exported goods started traveling between the two countries. Earlier, on the occasion of Language Day, commercial activities were closed on Sunday.

Abdul Jalil, acting director of Benapole Port, said trade between the two countries had resumed on the route since this morning. Traders have been instructed to unload goods quickly. It is learned that 80 percent of the goods imported and exported by land in the country are through Benapole port only due to easy communication.

About 400 trucks of various goods are imported every day and 150 trucks of goods are exported to India. The government collects about Tk 5,000 in revenue from imported goods every year.
