Mobile court raid on illegal polythene factory in Kushtia

Correspondent in Kushtia: Illegal polythene factory in Kumarkhali has been discussed on social media and local media for some time. Kumarkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rajibul Islam Khan sealed the illegal polythene factory on Wednesday (February 16th) evening after several media headlines. An illegal polythene factory of Salehin Mia Selim was set up in the school area of ​​Gabrachand Pur village in Chandpur union of Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district.

Illegal polythene was being produced and marketed from that factory across the district. It is learned that an illegal polythene factory was set up next to his house in a large area in the area. For a long time, the factory was making various types of illegally banned polythene and marketing it in Kushtia district and surrounding districts.

On the evening of Wednesday (February 18), a mobile court conducted an operation at an illegally banned polythene factory to find polythene production machinery, various polythene making materials and polythene rolls.

There are tons of polythene making materials including different types of polythene, LDP granules, polythene rolls, different materials for making polythene. The mobile court later seized the illegal goods. The mobile court was led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rajibul Islam Khan and Assistant Director of the Environment Department Kamal Kumar Barman.

At that time, the factory was sealed by seizing all the equipments including polythene inside the mobile court through the mobile court for illegal construction of the factory. However, the factory owner Selim was able to escape before the operation.
