Thakurgaon Correspondent: Police have seized 246 bottles of Phensidyl from a sack full of potatoes in Thakurgaon.

A drug dealer named Mamun was arrested at that time. He was arrested along with phencidyl in a raid in the city's bus stand area around 10:30 pm on Wednesday (February 18). The arrested Mamun is the son of Khasirul Alam of Uttar Baliadangi area of ​​Baliadangi upazila.

According to the police, the seized phencidils were being taken from Panchagarh to Dhaka in a vehicle of Hanif Enterprise. A team of police stopped the car on the basis of secret information. A search revealed 246 bottles of Phensidyl in a potato sack in the back locker of the vehicle.

The owner of the bag was later arrested. Thakurgaon Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tanvirul Islam said the arrested Mamun initially admitted his involvement. It is being investigated whether anyone else is involved with this. The case is pending.
