Benapole Correspondent: The Indian Army has gifted 5 trained dogs to the Bangladesh Army as a greeting gift through Benapole checkpost in Jessore. The dogs were officially handed over to the Bangladesh Army by the Indian Army at 3:30 pm on Tuesday. Major Md. Enamul Haque from Savar Cantonment confirmed the matter and said that the dogs were first brought from Uttar Pradesh cantonment of India to Kolkatachasara cantonment.
After being brought to the Petrapole BSF camp from there, the paperwork was formally handed over to the Bangladesh Army from the Petrapole BSF camp in India on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, on November 10 last year, the Indian Army had given 20 horses and 10 dogs as gifts to the Bangladesh Army. The trained dogs will be taken to Savar Cantonment.
