News Desk: After a long delay in the ongoing Corona situation, the results of the Higher Secondary and equivalent examinations were to be released this month. But uncertainty has been created with various complications.

In this situation, the result of HSC, opening of closed educational institutions, book festival and other contemporary issues related to education will be discussed online with the media representatives on Tuesday. Dipu Moni.

Earlier, on Saturday night (December 26), Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair gave this information.

It has been reported that there are only two days in hand this month but the Board of Education has not been able to prepare the results yet. No policy has come from the ministry. Therefore, doubts have been raised about whether the results will be released in December.

Professor Nehal Ahmed, chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee and chairman of the Board of Secondary and Higher Education Dhaka, told the media on Saturday, "We are trying our best to release the results this month." It will be possible to say more in two or three days.

"The results will be computer-based," he said. So the matter is a little complicated. It is a matter of settling many accounts. Even then, technical people are working shift-wise 24 hours a day to prepare the fruit. '

The Chairman of the Board of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka, further said, "It has not been possible to prepare the results so far due to various complications." No policy has come from the Ministry of Education on how the results will be prepared. If the release of this result is delayed for a day or two even after trying, then there will be no big problem. '

On the other hand, a total of 34 crore new books have been printed this year. Which has become a challenge to be handed over to the students at the beginning of the new year. However, on December 31, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the distribution of books through virtual at the beginning of the year, according to the Ministry of Education. Preparations are being made to celebrate it as Textbook Festival-2021.

Professor Ziaul Haque, book distribution controller of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), said, ‘NCTB is responsible for delivering books to the Upazila-Thana Education Office. The rest is the responsibility of Mausi and the Department of Primary Education. 21 crore books including 13 crore for secondary and 8 crore for primary have reached the Upazila Education Office. Attempts are being made to send the rest of the books. '

Incidentally, all the educational institutions in the country were declared closed on March 16 due to the ongoing Corona crisis. Later, as the situation did not improve, the leave was extended in several stages. The last decision was taken by the Ministry of Education on December 16 (Friday).

And that is why this year's HSC and equivalent examinations were supposed to be held from April 1, but it has been canceled.
