The education minister will talk about the results of HSC next Tuesday

News Desk: The results of HSC, activation of locked educational institutions, book festivals and other contemporary issues related to education will be discussed online with the media representatives. Dipu Moni. The meeting will be held next Tuesday (December 29) at 12 noon through the online platform Zoom.

Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair confirmed the information on Saturday night (December 26). It is known that a total of 34 crore new books have been printed this year. This book has now become a big challenge for the students. However, on December 31, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the distribution of virtual New Year books, Education Ministry sources said. Preparations are being made to celebrate it as Textbook Festival-2021.

Professor Golam Farooq, director general of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi), said, "The ministry has not yet decided how the books will be delivered." Professor Ziaul Haque, book distribution controller of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), said, ‘NCTB is responsible for delivering books to the Upazila-Thana Education Office. The rest is the responsibility of Mausi and the Department of Primary Education.

21 crore books including 13 crore for secondary and 8 crore for primary have reached the Upazila Education Office. He also said that efforts are being made to send the remaining books. On the other hand, the results of HSC and equivalent examinations are expected to be released this month, but it may be delayed. Besides, Education Minister Dipu Moni will talk about contemporary issues including how to make locked classrooms operational.
