News Desk: Villagers beat two people to death on suspicion of robbery in Shibpur of Narsingdi. The incident took place in the middle of the night on Tuesday (November 24) at Murgiber village in the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Sohail, 30, son of Aminul Islam of Kuliyarchar area of ​​Kishoreganj and an unidentified person.

According to the police, a group of 10/15 robbers raided the houses of Borhan, Golzar and Kanjan in Murgiber village of Joshar's Srishtighar area in Shibpur around 3pm on Tuesday. At that time, he broke down the door of their house and tried to enter.

Sensing the matter, the people of the area were informed on their mobile phones. The mosque's mike was later announced to have been robbed. Upon receiving the news, the villagers tried to surround the robbers.

Although the robbers fled at that time, the villagers detained three people and beat them up. Upon receiving the news, Shibpur police arrived at the spot and recovered the bodies of two persons and another injured manik named Manik.

Shibpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC-Investigation) Abul Kalam said the deceased Sohail was a member of an inter-district robber gang. Five cases including two murders, torture of women and robbery have been found against him.
