Half-dead body was found in a pond at Hathazari

Chittagong (North) Correspondent: Police have recovered the half-dead body of an unidentified person from a pond at Hathazari in Chittagong. The body was recovered from an abandoned pond near Hathazari Bazar in the municipal area around 10am on Sunday (November 22). The age of the rescued person is estimated to be between 35-45 years. He was wearing pants and a blue T-shirt.

According to police and locals, a body was found floating in an abandoned pond adjacent to Alauddin's bakery in the municipal area in the morning. Police later came and recovered the body from the spot.

Police Inspector (Investigation) Rajiv Sharma said the body was believed to be four to five days old. The face and body of the corpse have become deformed due to being half-decomposed. Preparations are underway to send the body to the morgue for autopsy to find out the real cause of death.
