Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2020 held at NSU

News Desk: Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE), a youth-led non-profit organization, has organized the "Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2020" on the premises of North South University virtually through Zoom on Friday, 13th November 2020.  The Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) is a youth-led non-profit organization dedicated to eradicate extreme poverty and solve the youth unemployment problems by empowering youth and women through social entrepreneurship.

Apart from promoting social entrepreneurship, it fostered youth as social entrepreneurs to create positive social and environmental changes through their innovative ideas and implementations. Dr. Atiur Rahman, renowned development economist, writer, banker, and former governor of Bangladesh Bank was the chief guest of the symposium. The guest of honor of the evening was Mr. Earl. R. Miller, US Ambassador to the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. He communicated his contemplations about youth towards entrepreneurship and social activities. Mr. Millers wife was also present in the session expressing her consideration of business, procedures, and practical graceful chain framework. Aspiring youth towards self-employment instead of being dependent on someone else to earn their livelihood, empowering the entrepreneurs, widening the youth’s exposure to global entrepreneurial climates & providing graduates with the necessary support to establish a career in small and medium-sized businesses were the main objectives of this insightful event.

Tajdin Hassan, head of marketing of The Daily Star, took the session to teach young entrepreneurs about the possible marketing strategies for a startup. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean and Professor of the school of business studies and economics at North South University was our special guest of the day. Ms. Esrat Karim Eve, founder and director of "AMAL" was our honorable guest speaker. She had highlighted the floor talking about the important issue of "Women in entrepreneurship.

The speakers at the program engaged with the future entrepreneurs to inspire them to work in the social entrepreneurship arena. An "Elevator Pitch Challenge" was arranged to encourage the audience to engage more. The winner of the Elevator pitch was Mahin Abrar Rahman and Runner up was Mashrur Rahman.
