Sports Desk: The BCB President's Cup is starting from today (Sunday) with the national team, HP and young cricketers divided into three teams. Although it is just a preparatory tournament, it has already got the aura of competition. The BCB has also announced a prize of around Tk 36 lakh.

The national team is led by ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad and young left-arm batsman Nazmul Hossain Shantar. Mahmudullah XI and Nazmul XI will meet in the first match of the event on Sunday at 1.30 pm. Due to the coronavirus, spectators do not have access to the field in any match of the tournament. Media presence will be limited. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made arrangements for cricket fans to watch all the matches live.

Which will be broadcast via Facebook Live. A statement from the BCB said that every match of the tournament would be broadcast live via video streaming from the BCB's official Facebook page. In addition, the current series of games will be available on Bangladesh Betar. Apart from this, the games will also be broadcast on the Facebook page of RabbitholeBD. Before today's match, it was decided to observe a minute's silence in honor of the victims in Corona.

Before the start of the match at 1.30 pm, the cricketers will observe a minute of silence in memory of the dead in Kavid 19. The entire stadium will be at a standstill for a minute after BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon announced the start of the tournament.
