Three Brazilian-Argentine footballers set foot in Dhaka

Sports Desk: Three footballers of Brazil and Argentina of Bashundhara Kings reached Dhaka amid uncertainty of AFC Cup. The three Pele-Maradonas arrived in Dhaka on a Qatar Airways flight at 9:30 am on Thursday. Ahmed Shayek, Media Manager, Bashundhara Kings, welcomed Robinho and Fernandez of Brazil and Hernan Barcos of Argentina at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Among the three footballers, Argentina's Hernan Barcos has previously played an AFC Cup match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The former Messi teammate scored four goals alone against Maldives' TC Sports.

Bashundhara Kings won 5-1. Azevedo Robson Robinho and Jonathan Fernandez from Brazil came to Bangladesh for the first time. Bangladesh Premier League champions have included Neymar's two footballers in the squad ahead of the AFC Cup. Group E matches of the AFC Cup are scheduled to be held in the Maldives in October and November; But the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is considering canceling the 2020 AFC Cup as most of the group's organizers have not been found.
