59 police members from Bogura agreed to donate plasma

CNI Desk: Some 59 policemen of Bogura, who have recovered from coronavirus, will be donating their plasma for the treatment of the disease in other patients.

Among them, 40 police personnel are coming to Dhaka from Bogura police lines by a bus on Sunday to donate their plasma at the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh, said Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, superintendent of Bogura police.

They started their journey for Dhaka around 11am.

The remaining 19 policemen will also visit Dhaka for the same purpose, said the SP.

He said that a team from the Central Police Hospital came to Bogura last week and checked antibody presence among 117 policemen who had successfully defeated the virus.

Among them, they selected 59 for plasma donation, added the SP.

So far 149 police members from Bogura have been infected with coronavirus.

Among them, 142 have already recovered and rejoined duty.
