International Desk: Dozens of Russian military personnel are training in Iran to use Fath-360 missiles. Iran may soon supply these ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.
Two European intelligence sources told Reuters this information. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry are believed to have signed an agreement with Iranian officials in Tehran on December 13.
Under this, these missiles will be supplied, which are made in Iran's own technology. According to sources, members of the Russian military have gone to Iran to learn how to operate Fat-360 missiles.
Capable of striking at a distance of 120 km and carrying a warhead of 150 kg. The missile may be supplied to Russian troops after training. Moscow has its own arsenal of missiles.
However, if Fath-360 is added to the fleet, Russia can strengthen its attack on Ukraine. A spokesman for the US National Security Council said the US and its NATO allies and G7 partners are ready to take swift and tough action if Iran goes ahead with such a transfer. The spokesman said tensions would rise dramatically because of Iran's support for Russia in the Ukraine war.
Since the attack on Ukraine began, relations between Moscow and Tehran have grown unprecedentedly. The United States often expresses concern about this.
