499 people were absent on the first day of SSC examination in Kurigram

Kurigram representative:  Total number of students in current SSC and equivalent exam in Kurigram is 29 thousand 937 people. In this year there are 25 thousand 920 students. 25 thousand 421 people participated. The number of absent students is 499. Attendance rate is 98.7 percent. District Education Officer Md. Shamsul Alam said that 29 thousand 937 people have registered for SSC and equivalent exams this year.

Among them there are 4 thousand 17 students who failed last year. Besides, 22 thousand 65 people are participating in the current SSC General, 1 thousand 953 people are participating in Vocational and 5 thousand 919 people are participating in Dakhil. The examinations are being held in 57 centers in 9 upazilas of the district.

Out of this, 34 centers are in general SSC, 12 centers in vocational and 11 centers in Dakhil. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Arif said that the examination was conducted in a fair and beautiful manner. No complaint received.
