Chance of rain in parts of the country: Meteorological Department

News Desk: Intense heat wave is flowing over four districts of the country. Along with this, mild to moderate heat waves are flowing over six divisions and three districts, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said. Meanwhile, the organization has also predicted rain as a relief news in this intense heat. On Sunday (June 4), meteorologist Dr. Bangladesh Meteorological Department. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick gave this information in the next 24 hours weather forecast.

According to the Meteorological Office, intense heat waves are flowing over Rajshahi, Naogaon, Nilphamari and Dinajpur districts. Mild to severe heat wave is moving over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barisal divisions along with remnants of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and Moulvibazar, Chandpur and Noakhali districts and may continue. In the next 24 hours, the day and night temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country. In the forecast, it is reported that in the next 24 hours, there may be temporary rain with gusty winds and thunder in one or two places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. The agency said that the heatwave may continue across the country for the next three days. Today (Sunday) morning, the minimum temperature of the country was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius. The latest recorded maximum temperature was 41 degree Celsius in Rajshahi. Besides, the highest rainfall recorded in last 24 hours is 60 mm in Netrakona.
