BNP aims to seize power by any means: Obaidul Quader

News Desk: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP's aim is to seize power by any means, on the contrary, the power of Awami League is only the people. In a movement where there is no participation of the people, a movement which is driven only by lust for power, it is ridiculous to talk about a mass coup. Obaidul Quader said that BNP's so-called movement is not getting water, so their leaders are giving their usual monotonous speeches every day. They criticize the government just for the sake of criticism.

Conspiracy, lies, propaganda and inflammatory statements are BNP's tools against economic progress due to Sheikh Hasina's development policies for the betterment of the people. He said these things in a statement on Thursday. Awami League general secretary condemned and protested the statement of BNP leaders as 'numb, insensitive and lacking in public consciousness'. Obaidul Quader said, Awami League traditionally respects the democratic process and people's verdict. Only Awami League has done everything to restore the lost democracy and people's voting rights in this country.

Military dictator Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, seized power illegally by unconstitutional means and destroyed democratic culture and values. The constitutional and democratic rights of the people of this country were crushed under the boots of the military dictatorship. By keeping the curfew in force and creating a farce in the name of elections in the country, they joked with the people. In the face of BNP, the opposite power of vote robbery does not suit democracy.

In the statement, Obaidul Quader also said that the inclusive development policy of successful statesman Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina has resulted in a revolutionary change in the quality of life of every person from the city to the village. Sheikh Hasina's government is continuously working to improve the fortunes of the people of this country. As a result of adopting the timely policy of Bangabandhu's daughter, Sheikh Hasina, the new generation is getting an opportunity to develop themselves as humane smart citizens.
