News Desk : Prime Minister and Awami President Sheikh Hasina has urged not to vote for BNP-Jamaat in the future and said that they will destroy Bangladesh. So BNP-Jamaat should not come to power. He made this call at a civic reception organized by the United Kingdom Awami League at London Marriott Hotel on Sunday (May 7) afternoon local time. Awami League president Sheikh Hasina said, 'That murderer, thief, corrupt BNP-Jamaat alliance will destroy Bangladesh. So they can never come to power. People should not vote for them.' Expressing hope, he said, 'Awami League will win the elections in the future. By doing the work of the people, we will be able to serve the country again with the votes of the people. That way everyone should work with confidence.

Sheikh Hasina thinks that people will not trust BNP in the next elections. In this context, the Prime Minister said, 'They are smuggling the country's money abroad, destroying the country, how can the people trust them? Why believe? The people know that they are vote thieves, corrupt, murderers, grenade attackers, looters, they are supporters of murderers, smugglers of the country's money. He said, 'Tareq Zia was sentenced because of corruption. We have recovered about 40 crores of smuggled cocoa and brought it back.' Reiterating her determination to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina said, 'Bangladesh will be a smart Bangladesh by 2041. Delta 2100 plan. We have to move our country forward.' He said, 'There will be no homeless, landless people in the country. Awami League works for the welfare of people. No person in Bangladesh will remain without food.

Criticizing BNP leaders including Tariq Rahman, Sheikh Hasina said, 'Today, where do you have the courage to call us vote thieves? Vote stealer's child vote stealer how? Tarek's father is a vote thief, Tarek's mother is a vote thief. How do the BNP people call us vote thieves? Where does he get so much courage!' Awami League chief said, 'Our party did not come to power by stealing Awami League votes. Awami League (struggles to recover) their rights from land and people; Awami League has come to power after being elected by people's vote. Never came to power by usurping or stealing.' Reminding the BNP leaders of the February 15, 1996 election, Sheikh Hasina said, 'Let me ask the BNP leaders how many parties participated in the February 15, 1996 election and how many votes were cast. By deploying the army across the country to steal the votes of the people, no more than 2 to 3 percent of the votes were cast. They announced that (Khaleda Zia) is the elected Prime Minister.

The Awami League president said that the people of the country are aware enough about their voting rights and said, 'We have made the people aware by giving slogans. I will give my vote to whoever I want. When the people of the country saw that Khaleda Zia stole votes, Khaleda Zia could not stay in power. Elections were held on February 15, the government could not even be formed. It seems that the Parliament sat for 5/7 days. But then Khaleda Zia was forced to resign on March 30 in the face of people's agitation. Awami League president said, 'No one has anything to say about the 2008 election. Is there talk? Have any questions? no What is the result of that election? How many seats did BNP's 20-party alliance get? The 20-party coalition won 29 seats in the election and 1 in a by-election, totaling 30 seats. And the remaining seat is Awami League led alliance. We got it all. Where is their position to the people that they jump so much?'
