News Desk: Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Banaspati Manufacturers Association has decided to increase the price of bottled edible oil by Tk 12 per liter to Tk 199. The company has set this price as the government's VAT exemption period for the import of edible oil has expired.
Biswajit Saha, director of leading edible oil marketer City Group, confirmed this information on Thursday (May 4).
According to the new prices, open soybeans are priced at Tk 176 per liter, bottled soybeans at Tk 199 per liter, five-liter bottled soybean oil at Tk 960, Palm Super open soybean oil at Tk 135 per liter.
