News Desk: The Public Service Commission (PSC) has passed a special law to prevent fake candidates in the BCS examination and issued a notification. If anyone is caught or proved to be a fake candidate, there is a provision of imprisonment and fine. It was added by amending the BPSC Ordinance 1977 Act. Recently, the government passed the law and issued a notification.

The Act states, 'It shall be an offense for any person to enter the examination hall during the examination by presenting himself as a candidate or pretending to be a candidate, or appearing in the examination in the name of another person or in a fictitious name, even though he is not a candidate for the BCS examination. . For this offence, the person shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding two years or with fine or with both.'

According to PSC sources, nothing was clearly said about this earlier. Even if fake candidates were caught in the BCS examination, effective action could not be taken due to lack of proper law. With the passing of this law, there is a provision of imprisonment of up to two years for the fake examinees. Apart from this, two types of punishment including fine or imprisonment can be given. Any person caught or proved to be a fake examinee shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or with fine or with both.
