Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: It was one night on the clock. An autorickshaw stopped at Pabna Central Bus Terminal Square. Then a young man got down from the autorickshaw and started calling 'Sehri Sehri'. At his call, rickshaw pullers, rickshaw pullers, pedestrians came from the neighborhood. After that, the young man gave all of them hand-cooked packets of Sehri food. His name is Dewan Mahbub. He is known as Mahbub Bhai for his humanitarian work. Since the beginning of Ramadan, he has been visiting different parts of the city and distributing sehri to these people free of charge every night. At one o'clock in the night he went out with the cooked Sehri. Mahbub distributed Sehri in different areas of the city. He distributed Sehri among passers-by, day laborers, night watchmen, hospital patients and relatives.

Dear Mahbub Bhai has been doing humanitarian work like this every Ramadan for the past four years with the financial support and donations of various people. Dewar Mahbur's house is in Shivrampur Mahalla of Pabna Town. His father's name is Professor Dewan Azizul Islam. He is also respected as a humanitarian and philanthropist. During the conversation, Dewan Mahbub said that he does the work himself from doing the market to cooking and packing every day with the money of donations and financial support from different people. 500 rupees per night for car rental. In total, the cost per packet is 60 rupees per hour. Thus every night from one to three o'clock 200 to 250 packets are distributed free of cost to the Sehri people. Mahbub distributed Sehri at at least seven points from the Central Bus Terminal Square, Rai Bahadur Gate, Muktijoddha Market, AR Corner, Mother and Child Welfare Center.

This sehri is distributed among night watchmen, rickshaw pullers, chinnamuls, pedestrians, patients undergoing treatment in hospitals and their relatives. Because they don't get a chance to wake up. Dewan Mahbub said, who eats this Sehri. You will see those who drive rickshaws at night. A man on duty at night. Whose home is far away. He suddenly came to the hospital with a patient, but could not bring food. Shrewd people, pedestrians. Thinking about them, he has been distributing this Sehri every Ramadan for the last four years. Mahbub said, but the demand for Sehri is more. If at least 350 people could be given Sehri every night, it would provide peace of mind. But due to lack of financial capacity, he was unable to pay it. For this reason, Mahbub called upon the rich people of the society to come forward.

All those people who are waiting for Mahbur Bhai's Sehri are happy to get Sehri on time every night. They said, they salute Mahbub for doing such humanitarian work. Rickshaw drivers Nazmul Islam of Bagchipara area of ​​Sadar upazila, Billal Hossain of Patkiabari area and Abdul Majid of Islampur village said, we drive rickshaws at midnight. But on the one hand, poor people cannot eat Sehri, on the other hand, they cannot eat Sehri at home while driving a rickshaw. Mahbub bhai goes to Sehri every night. We fast by eating it. Saidul Islam, Rafiqul Islam, Saddam Hossain Saiful Islam, the night watchmen of various offices on Abdul Hamid road in the city, said that our house is far away. I work as a watchman at night. There is no such thing as eating Sehri. For the last four years, Mahbub bhai has been giving us Sehri.

We are waiting for him. Sehri is very beneficial for us. We salute his work. Dewan Mahbub said, in 2011 we made an organization called Tahura Aziz Foundation. Under the initiative of that organization, two days a week, on Friday and Tuesday, free medicines are distributed to the needy people. Apart from this, free tube wells were installed in various institutions for supply of clean water, sewing machines for employment of women, chickens and goats were distributed. Fish fry and feed are provided for fish farming in ponds to make the unemployed poor people self-reliant. 22 bodies have been buried during Corona. During the Eid of Sacrifice, beef is slaughtered among the poor and needy of the society. And all this is done with the money donated by the humanitarian people of the society.
