Bus accident in Saudi: 17 injured Bangladeshis identified

News desk: 17 Bangladeshi Umrah passengers were injured in a bus accident in Saudi Arabia's Asir province. They have been admitted to different hospitals. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this information on Wednesday (March 29). Salahuddin son of Abul Bashar of Chittagong Sitakunda, Al Amin of Burhan Uddin Upazila of Bhola, Minhaj son of Sirajullah of Raipur of Lakshipur, Kachuar Md of Chandpur are among the 17 injured Bangladeshis admitted in various hospitals. Jewel, son of Zainal, Afridi Molla, son of Zakir Molla, Shalikar, Magura (Passport No: EA0231718), Abu Said, son of Chandraganj, Laxmipur, Md. Riyaz, Md. Salim (Passport No: A03459571), Delwar Hossain son of Ayyubi Ali of Laksam, Comilla, Yar Hossain son of Abdul Malek of Muradnagar Upazila, Md. Judge Mia's son. Zahidul Islam, Mohammad Shahabuddin son of Abdul Latif of Noakhali Senbagh, Mizanur Rahman son of Fazlur Rahman of Magura Mohammadpur and son of Kazi Anwar Hossain of Jessore Sadar. Musharraf Hossain. Besides, Abdul Hai, Rana, Hossain Ali and Quddus left the hospital with necessary treatment. Foreign Ministry sources said that there were 47 passengers in the bus that crashed in Saudi Arabia. 35 of them were Bangladeshi citizens. 18 Bangladeshis were injured in the bus accident.

17 of them were admitted to different hospitals. 13 Bangladeshis were killed. Besides, out of 12 passengers of different countries in the bus, 5 dead and 7 injured have been identified in different hospitals. According to sources, an Umrah passenger was killed in a passenger bus accident in Saudi Arabia's southwestern Asir province. On March 27, the bus carrying Umrah passengers met with an accident on a bridge. At one stage the bus overturned and caught fire. Initially, it is believed that the accident happened due to loss of control on a road connecting Asir province and Ava city. The deceased were going to Makkah to perform Umrah.
