News Desk: Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP holds the defeated power of 1971 and its rival Pakistan in their consciousness and mind. He said this in a statement signed by Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua on Tuesday (March 28) afternoon. Obaidul Quader said, 'Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, the military dictator, ran Bangladesh under the Pakistani ideology by spoiling the spirit of the country's liberation war and sending democracy into exile. He strengthened the trend of communal politics by rehabilitating anti-independence forces and war criminals into politics. Following in her footsteps, Khaleda Zia similarly ran the state in a Pakistani ideology.

BNP took financial help from Pakistani intelligence agency ISI in 1991 national elections to implement the blue plan of power capture. A few years ago, the then head of the organization mentioned it in the deposition in the court of that country. On the other hand, Khaleda Zia as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh sent a condolence message on the death of a general Asif Nawaz Janjua of the defeated Pakistani invasion forces. Through this, he hit the core of the spirit of the historical struggle of the nation. In the statement, Obaidul Quader condemned and protested the statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. In this context, he said, 'Awami League is the ghost of the Pakistani invasion force' - this comment of Mirza Fakhrul is the best joke of the century.

Not only that, it is an expression of their extreme hatred and anger against Bangabandhu's political organization, Awami League, which led the liberation war. Having failed in the movement, the BNP leaders are spouting such incoherent delusions. It seems that they have not only lost their conscience as political leaders, but also lost their sense of shame. The history of Awami League is inextricably linked with the history of the Bengali nation and the country called Bangladesh. The Bengali nation, under the leadership of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, gained the independence of this country in return for the blood of 300,000 martyrs and the loss of honor of 250,000 mothers and sisters. Such indecent and audacious comments of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir not only dishonored the noble tradition of Awami League, but also dishonored the sacrifice of 3 million martyrs.

At the same time he made his political position clear by standing against all races and peoples. Mirza Fakhrul's insolent remarks hurt the sentiments of the nation. We condemn and protest the arrogant statement of Mirza Fakhrul.' Awami League General Secretary said, 'People of this country defeated the Pakistani invaders through historic struggle and great liberation war under the leadership of Awami League. The constitution of independent Bangladesh was drafted under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The principles and ideals which have given strength and motivation to the movement and struggle against the ruling group of Pakistan have been reflected in the constitution as the basic principles of this state. One of which is nationalism and secularism. BNP has been ideologically doing politics against the original spirit of the birth of this state since its birth.

Mirza Fakhrul commented a few days ago - 'I was good during Pakistan period'. Their love for Pakistan is nothing new.' The bridge minister said, 'Today, Bangladesh has occupied a seat of dignity in the world assembly under the leadership of the successful statesman Bangabandhu's daughter, Sheikh Hasina. Even the media of Pakistan, which was defeated in the liberation war, has praised Bangladesh and its Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. But unfortunately, the BNP founded on Pakistani philosophy from the pocket of military dictator Ziaur Rahman has not yet mentally accepted the independence of Bangladesh. It is their mental weakness. Today, when the people of the country are enjoying the benefits of freedom, BNP leaders are still conspiring to question the freedom.
