Prime Minister inaugurated 50 more model mosques across the country

News desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated 50 more model mosques and Islamic cultural centers across the country. He inaugurated these model mosques in the third phase by connecting virtually from Ganobhaban on Thursday.

The Prime Minister inaugurated 150 mosques so far out of 564 mosques to be built at a cost of Tk 9,435 crore in the third phase.

Earlier, he inaugurated 50 mosques in the first phase on June 10, 2021 and another 50 model mosques in the second phase on January 16 this year. Construction of the remaining mosques and Islamic cultural centers will be completed by June 2024.

These model mosques and Islamic cultural centers have separate places for ablution and prayers with air conditioning. Besides, registration and training system for Hajj pilgrims, Imam training center, research center and Islamic library, autism corner, pre-burial ceremony, car parking facility, safe deposit box, pre-primary education and Quran teaching system, Islamic cultural activities and conference center for invitation to Islam, Islamic book selling center. , there will be accommodation facilities for local and foreign guests including the mosque.
