Two more Metrorail stations are operational

News Desk: Two more Metrorail stations have been commissioned in the capital. Kazipara and Mirpur-11 stations were opened on Wednesday morning. Besides, Shaorapara and Uttara Dakshin stations will be opened in the last week of this month. Earlier, Uttara North, Agargaon, Pallabi, Uttara Centre, Mirpur-10 stations were opened. Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) authorities have informed this information. Also said, passenger movement will start at Mirpur-10 metro station from 8:30 am. The station will be opened for passengers from 8 am half an hour before the start of movement. Incidentally, on December 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the section from Uttara to Agargaon within the 21 km stretch of metro rail line-6 ​​from Uttara to Kamalapur.

From the day after the inauguration, commercial operation of metro rail in Dhaka started with ordinary passengers. The Agargaon to Motijheel section is planned to be operational by the end of this year. Besides, the section from Motijheel to Kamalapur railway station may be operational by 2025.
