Bangladesh won the toss and batted to avoid a whitewash in the last ODI

Sports Desk: The host Bangladesh has already lost the series after losing the first two matches of the three-match ODI series against England. As a result, Tiger captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss and chose to bat in order to avoid a whitewash in the last ODI on Monday (March 06). The match starts at 12:00 PM at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

Tamim Iqbal won the toss for the third consecutive time in the series. Bangladesh captain took the batting now. Batting in the first ODI in Mirpur, fielding in the next match. Tamim returned to bat again. A change in the Bangladesh team in the mission to avoid corruption. Ebadat Hossain has been included in the team in place of injured pacer Taskin Ahmed. On the other hand, there are several changes in the visiting XI. Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer returned to the team after one match. Besides, bowling all-rounder Rehan Ahmed is going to make his ODI debut today. In 2012, Bangladesh was whitewashed by Pakistan in the last three-match ODI series at home. Then in 2014, Team Tigers lost 2-0 to India in the three-match series. Ever since that series against India, Bangladesh started improving in the ODI format. Apart from starting a streak of winning matches on foreign soil, they became unstoppable at home. Before this series against England, the Tigers had lost only one series in 2016. Coincidentally, Bangladesh lost the series again to England.

After winning the seven ODI series at home, the Tigers finally lost. Despite having a habit of playing aggressive cricket, England won against Bangladesh by adapting to the conditions in the first two matches. In the first match, the English won by 3 wickets after handling the Bangladeshi spinners very well.

The current world champions clinched the series with a big win of 132 runs in the second ODI.
