Primary deferred scholarship results in the afternoon

News desk: It is said that the results of the primary scholarship, which has been postponed due to the technical crew, will be declared by Wednesday (March 1) afternoon. Technical bugs identified and resolved by 10pm on Tuesday (February 28). Now all the preparations are over for the release of the results.

According to sources in the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), the director general of the department will publish the results in the afternoon subject to the permission of the ministry after the final verification.

DPE Director (Training) confirmed the matter. Uttara Kumar Das said on Wednesday morning that all the problems due to which the results were postponed have been identified and resolved. I hope to publish the results again this afternoon.

He said, earlier in 2009, the last such scholarship was produced. After 12 long years, almost the same kind of scholarships have been produced. This time there were several things new including the subject. This caused a slight coding issue, which has since been resolved. In 2019, Dhaka University admission test caused such problems. Such a problem once arose as a result of the Public Works Commission. He also said that such problems are temporary.

According to him, this technical problem has never happened before in DPE. This is our learning. The committee will work with utmost caution in this regard in the future.

Meanwhile, the committee of members who want to investigate the incident has also started working. They spoke to those associated with the creation of this fruit. A member of the committee said on the condition of anonymity, "We have not found any evidence that there was any negligence in the preliminary investigation." This is due to a mere technical error. He said, I will try to submit the full investigation report to the Director General by today.

How scholarship is produced

Officials associated with the preparation of the results said that after taking the scholarship examination, the code is given in the answer sheet of the students in the district education office. The teachers then evaluate the notebook. As a result, it is not clear whose account is which. But the marks obtained after evaluation are added to the registration number of the concerned student as per the code. The last process is called decoding. Errors occur in this coding and decoding process. The computer cell of DPE has caught that all the students have been given the same code number in some upazilas including Shailkupa of Jhenaidah. Due to this the results are suspended for re-verification of the results across the country.
