Ambassador of Denmark in tulip garden at Tantulia

Al Masud, Panchagarh: Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh Winnie Estrap Pietersen visited a garden of 10 colors of tulips on an area of ​​about two acres at Tentulia in Panchagarh district. 

On Monday (February 13) afternoon, local flower growers greeted them with tulip flowers at Darjipara of Tentulia upazila. At that time, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Bangladesh Country Director Arno Hameliers, a Dutch citizen, was his tour companion. They entered the garden and enjoyed the beauty of tulips.

It is known that he came to visit the garden at the invitation of a local non-governmental development aid organization. They were impressed to see that such beautiful Dutch tulips can be cultivated in the border areas of countries like Bangladesh. 

During the visit, 20 women involved in tulip cultivation spoke to the farmers. Talks about tulip cultivation, land and future plans. Later, ESDO and PKSAP's initiatives, hard work and success were praised by Ambassador Winnie Estrap Petersen and Dr. Arno Hameliers.

At this time, Consultant International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) Dewan Alamgir, Senior General Manager (Programs) PKSF Dr. Akand Md. Rafiqul Islam, Executive Director of ESDO. Muhammad Shaheed Uz Zaman, Valuchain Specialist of PKSF. Rafizul Islam Mandal, Tentulia Upazila Executive Officer Sohag Chandra Saha, Tentulia Model Police OC Abu Saeed Chowdhury were present.
