He said these things on Wednesday (January 18) in response to the question of MP M Abdul Latif during the question and answer session scheduled for the Prime Minister in the National Parliament.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'Bangladesh will be developed as a developed and prosperous state by 2041. In response to Mujibul Haque Chunnu's question, he said, "IMF gives loans only when the country has the ability to lend." We are still subsidizing electricity and gas. But people have to be economical in electricity consumption. And commodity prices have risen due to global wars. Even then, we have made arrangements so that all people get food at a low price. Provision of free food is made for those who cannot do anything. Agriculture is also being subsidized.
