Sampriti Football Tournament-2023 curtain came down

Sports Desk: On January 14 (Saturday), the final match of Sampriti Football Tournament organized by Bilaichhari Zone of hilly Rangamati district was held. A total of six teams from Bilaichari, Kengrachari and Farua Union participated in this tournament which started on January 07. Lt. Col. Md. Ahsan Habib Rajeev, PPM, PSC, Zone Commander of Bilaichhari Zone was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Bilaichari upazila chairman, upazila executive officer, all representatives of upazila, all union chairmen, members and other leading persons were present in the event. Sampriti Football Tournament-2023 is one of the continuous initiatives of Bilaichari Zone to establish peace and harmony in the hilly areas.

The final match of the tournament was played between Bilaichari-1 and Farua-2. Trophies and prizes were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams after the announcement of the tournament results. Also, the chief guest presented medals to each member of both the teams. At the end of the tournament special awards and trophies were awarded to the best players and best emerging players. The Chief Guest expressed happiness over the results of the tournament and termed the tournament as helpful in developing a competitive and healthy culture. The zone commander expressed the hope of continuing this kind of initiative in the future. Locals expressed satisfaction with the results of the tournament. Meanwhile, the winning team is seen excited. The runner-up team also welcomed the results of the tournament. Locals say that this is the first time such an orderly and encouraging tournament has been held in the region. The tournament started with a colorful arrangement of peace and harmony
