Human chain in front of Pabna school demanding speed limit

Tofajjal Hossain Babu,  Pabna: Students and local residents formed a human chain for an hour in front of Shalikha Government Primary School on Chatmohar Municipal Headquarters (Tebunia-Baghabari) road in Pabna. Men and women of various professions participated in it. This human chain was held on the road in front of Shalikha Government Primary School on Tuesday (January 10) morning.

Under the chairmanship of Yunus Ali and moderated by Moniruzzaman Monir, members of Shalikha Government Primary School School Committee Zahurul Islam, Torab Ali, Chatmohar Press Club convener Rakibur Rahman Tukun, former president Helalur Rahman Jewel, Samakal representative Shamim Hasan Milan, Sramik League leader Habibur Rahman, Dr. Abu Naeem Raja etc.

The speakers said that fear and panic work in the traffic of young students of Shalikha Government Primary School, Muslims of the mosque on the busiest road. Besides, there is a market, a weekly market. All vehicles including buses, trucks ply on the road. During this time, the students are sometimes suffering from accidents while crossing the pedestrian road. They insisted on making safe roads by installing speed barriers in front of the school.
