News Desk:  General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that there is no caretaker government anywhere in the world except Pakistan. We do not want an unconstitutional, abnormal government. People of Bangladesh do not want this unusual government.

He said, the way elections are held in other democratic countries of the world, elections will be held in the same way in Bangladesh. The government will not interfere in the elections. The government will only perform its routine duties.

Obaidul Quader said these things in response to questions from journalists after paying respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Saturday afternoon.

Awami League general secretary said, I will call on the opposition party (BNP) - you will come to the election. To exist must come. Why are you only hurting the people of the country, why are you punishing the voters in the name of movement. We hear you have even more terrifying programs ahead. I urge you to refrain from these. Prepare for the next election. Let us choose together. The election will be fair and free. The election will be like the one that was held two days ago.

Obaidul Quader said, we are going through a challenging year. We may have more challenging years ahead. We have held the 22nd conference to meet the challenges, given committees at the district and upazila levels. Inshallah, Awami League is ready to face any challenge.
