A mother and two daughters were killed in a road accident on Bhangay Expressway in Faridpur

Ehsan Rana, Faridpur: A private car rammed into the back of a truck after losing control on the expressway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur in dense fog. Three passengers in the private car were killed. Six other people in the private car were injured.

The deceased are Mosa of Atadi village of Bhanga upazila of Faridpur. Labani (35), Mosa of the same village. Sumaiya (20) and child Zainur Zara (3) of that village.

This road accident took place in Shalidia area of ​​Azimnagar Union of Upazila on Thursday (December 29) morning. 

Jewel Sheikh (38) of Kabirpur area of ​​the district headquarters, Tanha (14) of Atadi area of ​​Bhangar of the same district and Tanna (13) and Tawhida (7) of the same village were injured. The injured were rescued and admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur. 

Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital resident doctor Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman said, one person died after being brought to the hospital. Apart from this, I have learned that one of the other two victims died on the spot and the other one died after being taken to the Upazila Health Complex. Also, 6 injured people are receiving treatment in different units of the medical hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station of Faridpur. Taimur Islam said that one person died on the spot in this road accident. Two others were rescued and one died at Banga Upazila Health Complex and one died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur. He said that since this road accident is under the jurisdiction of Shivchar Highway Police Station in Madaripur, they will take legal and further action.

In this regard, Deputy Inspector (SI) Shibchar Highway Police Abdullahel Baki said that the truck has been seized and brought to the highway police station. However, the driver and assistant escaped. He said that the body of the deceased Labani Begum is at the highway police station and the bodies of the other two dead are at Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital. Legal action in this regard is under process.
