Two more people died in dengue, 106 patients in hospital

News Desk: Two more people have died due to dengue fever in the country. With this, the death due to dengue has increased to 278 in the country so far. Besides, 106 more dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of patients admitted to various public and private hospitals in the country has reached 447.

Monday (December 26) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information was given in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam.

It is said that 43 of the 106 people admitted to the hospital with dengue from Sunday morning to Monday morning are 43 residents of Dhaka and 63 outside Dhaka.

According to the information of the Department of Health, from January 1 to December 26, a total of 62 thousand 127 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 39 thousand 99 people are residents of Dhaka and 23 thousand 28 people are outside Dhaka.

On the other hand, out of 62 thousand 127 people infected with dengue, 61 thousand 402 people have recovered and received discharge from the hospital. Among them, 38 thousand 685 are residents of Dhaka and 22 thousand 717 are outside Dhaka.

The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year. During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue fever across the country. That year, 105 people died of dengue nationwide.
