1 death due to dengue in the country today, 126 patients admitted to hospital

News Desk: One person has died in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever in the country. Meanwhile, 126 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital. With this, the number of patients admitted to various public and private hospitals in the country has reached 573. 273 people have died of dengue in the country so far.

On Wednesday (December 21) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information was given in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam.

It is said that 68 of the 126 people admitted to hospital with dengue from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning are 68 residents of Dhaka and 58 outside Dhaka.

According to the information of the Department of Health, a total of 61 thousand 755 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue from January 1 to December 21 this year. Among them, 38 thousand 889 are residents of Dhaka and 22 thousand 866 are outside Dhaka.

On the other hand, out of 61 thousand 755 people infected with dengue, 60 thousand 909 people have recovered from the hospital. Among them, 38 thousand 889 are residents of Dhaka and 22 thousand 866 are outside Dhaka.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health reported the death of one person due to dengue in the last 24 hours. A total of 273 people have died from dengue since January 1. The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.

During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue fever across the country. In the same year, 105 people died of dengue nationwide.
