News Desk: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said that there are currently 34 billion dollars in reserves in the country. On the occasion of Great Victory Day, he said this in response to questions from journalists after the president's speech at the discussion meeting organized by Comilla South District Awami League on Friday afternoon. The discussion meeting was organized in front of the South District Awami League office located in Ramghatla area of ​​the city.

The finance minister said, when we took power, the reserve amount was only 7 billion dollars. We took it to $48 billion. Due to the conflicts that are going on in the world today, our reserves are now 34 billion dollars. It's too much. It also changes daily.

He also said that in 2008 we were the 60th economy, today we are the 41st economy in the world. All this has been possible with the efforts of all of you under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Finance Minister said, the Father of the Nation has brought us geographical freedom. But the work of economic emancipation could not be completed in his lifetime. He did not get that chance. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the shaper of modern Bangladesh, has taken the responsibility of completing the unfinished work of the father of the nation.

Former Railway Minister and General Secretary of Comilla South District Awami League Mujibul Haque was the chief negotiator in the discussion meeting. Comilla-5 Constituency Member of Parliament Abul Hashem Khan, former Comilla South District Awami League Vice President Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, Golam Sarwar, Ilyas Mia, former Joint Secretary Sajjad Hossain Swapan, Comilla South District Volunteer League President Saif Uddin Ahmed and others were present in the meeting.
