Leaders and activists can be seen expressing their enthusiasm by joining the conference. The alert position of the law and order forces has been observed to deal with any situation. Human scanners have been installed at the gates of the park. One has to pass several levels of security to enter the conference venue.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the BCL conference as the chief guest.

It will be presided over by BCL president Al Nahian Khan Joy and moderated by general secretary writer Bhattacharya. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will also be present as a special guest.

The last BCL conference was held in May 2018. In July of that year, Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shobhan was appointed as the president of the Chhatra League and Golam Rabbani as the general secretary. When they lost their positions, Al Nahian Khan Joy became the acting president and writer Bhattacharya became the general secretary. They were released on January 4, 2020.

This time, there is a wide discussion among the leaders and activists about what will be the age limit for the election of the leader of the Chhatra League. In the last four conferences of Chhatra League, the age limit of the leaders was up to 29 years. But this time the age limit may be relaxed a bit. Such a decision may come due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Awami League joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim said that Awami League president Sheikh Hasina will decide on the age limit of Chhatra League. He will announce the decision on the stage of the conference. However, there is a discussion within the party to take into consideration the issue of age regarding the covid epidemic.

According to Awami League sources, Dhaka University leaders are given special importance in the election of Chhatra League leaders. This time, there is a demand within the party to give importance to the leaders of BUET and public universities outside Dhaka.

The Central Committee of Chhatra League, Dhaka Metropolitan North, Dhaka Metropolitan South and Dhaka University Branch Committee of Chhatra League are going to get new leadership through the National Conference. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said these four committees will be announced together after the national conference.

Nomination papers of Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Branch aspirants were collected from November 26 to 29, DU Branch nomination papers on December 2 and Central Committee nomination papers from November 30 to December 3.

96 people have submitted nomination papers for the post of president and 158 people for the post of general secretary in the central committee. 102 people have submitted nomination papers for the post of president and 85 people for the post of general secretary in the Dhaka Metropolitan North Committee. However, 182 nominations for the post of president and general secretary have been collected in Dhaka Metropolitan South Committee, but 83 nominations for the post of president and 70 for the post of general secretary have been submitted to the high command.

Unlike other committees, separate nomination papers for the posts of president and general secretary have not been submitted in the DU committee. 245 nomination papers have been submitted for the post of president and general secretary in this committee.

By selling nomination papers, 26 lakh seven thousand taka has been deposited in the fund of Chhatra League.
