International desk: North Korea, a country with nuclear power, is preparing to test nuclear weapons again after 2017, according to South Korean and US intelligence. Meanwhile, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has threatened that if North Korea conducts a nuclear test, allies will face a response "unprecedented before."

Besides, he urged China to come forward to prevent North Korea from making prohibited nuclear weapons and missiles.

In an interview with the British news agency Reuters on Monday (November 28), President Yoon Suk-yeol said China should fulfill its responsibilities as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. He warned that if North Korea continues to develop nuclear weapons, the region will eventually become armed.

He said, 'What is true is that China has influence over North Korea. And China has the responsibility to participate in these processes. Now it is up to China whether they will use their influence for peace and stability. China should do its best to encourage North Korea to denuclearize.'

He was then asked whether he would take action against allies Japan and the United States if North Korea conducted new nuclear weapons tests. In response to such a question, Yoon Suk-yul said, 'There will be an answer that no one has seen before.'

"A seventh nuclear test would be very foolish for North Korea," added President Yoon Suk.

Meanwhile, North Korea has conducted numerous missile tests this year. Last week, the country's president, Kim Jong Un, said that their goal is to become the world's largest nuclear power country. In the meantime, British intelligence said that Pyongyang is preparing to conduct nuclear weapons tests for the first time since 2017.

North Korea's nuclear weapons have been discussed at the recent summits of world leaders. At the G20 summit, US President Joe Biden called on Chinese President Xi Jinping to take steps to stop North Korea.

Ahead of the G20 summit, US security adviser Jack Sullivan said he would send a message to China that if North Korea continues its nuclear program, the presence of US troops in the region will be increased. Which China will never want.
