Teachers will return to classes after 19 days in Bashefmubiprabi

Md Imran Mahmud, Jamalpur: The teachers of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology (Bashefmubiprobi) of Melandah Upazila of Jamalpur had stopped the education program since last November 2 with 10-point demand including the removal of the vice-chancellor. However, he said that he will return to the education program from tomorrow, Tuesday (November 21).

According to the administrative office of the university, Professor Dr. Syed Samsuddin Ahmed was appointed as the vice-chancellor for four years on November 19, 2018. He left on Friday (November 18) at the end of the term of appointment of the vice-chancellor. However, no one has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor so far.

It should be noted that on November 2, the teachers started a strike to stop the education program with 10-point demands. Later, the teachers discussed the 10-point demand with the vice-chancellor. I could not come to any decision in the discussion of 4 hours. On November 8, the vice-chancellor held a press conference accusing him of corruption, corruption and nepotism. The teachers started a continuous movement demanding the removal of the vice-chancellor and 10-point demands.
