News Desk: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said, we are continuing to fight to institutionalize democracy under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Our fight will continue.

On the occasion of Martyr Noor Hossain Day on Thursday (November 10), the leaders and activists of Awami League and its affiliated organizations paid tribute with flowers at Noor Hossain Square at Zero Point of the capital. At this time, Obaidul Quader said this.

He said democracy is an evolving process, it is not a magical transformation that will happen overnight. Our leader, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, has led a movement to unchain democracy from dictatorship.

Obaidul Quader said that BNP damaged democracy even when it was in the government, they damaged democracy even when they joined the opposition party. Now under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, we continue to fight to institutionalize democracy. Our fight will continue.

General Secretary of Awami League said that BNP should pledge themselves that they will not commit arson and terrorism. Let them implement it in the field. Why do their leaders and activists have to come out with sticks? They will protest by tying the national flag to the stick, this is another form of terrorism. It must be closed.

He said that democracy has been liberated in the movement under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the chain has been liberated, but there are many obstacles in Bangladesh to institutionalize democracy. Democracy has been thwarted time and time again. The high wall that BNP raised on August 15 of various political parties, the wall became higher on November 3. On August 21, it reached further heights. This is the main obstacle to the development of democracy.

On November 10, 1987, Noor Hossain was martyred in the democratic movement march against the then dictator on the streets of the capital Dhaka.

On the occasion of the day, Awami League first paid tribute to Noor Hossain with flowers under the leadership of party general secretary and road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader. At that time Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Ahmad Hossain, SM Kamal Hossain, Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur, Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Culture Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Secretary Faridunnahar Laili, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Education and Human Resource Affairs Secretary Shamsun Nahar Champa, Deputy Office Sayem Khan, Executive Member Adv. Amirul Islam Milan, ABM Rizaul Kabir Kaushar, Marufa Akhtar Popi, Anisur Rahman, Azizus Samad Azad Don, Syed Abdul Awal Shamim were present.
