Ubaidullah Rumi, Ishwarganj (Mymensingh): An old woman named Anesha Khatun (75) died after she was hit by a brick while playing a sound box at a marriage house in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh. The incident took place in Jigatla village of Sohagir union of the upazila on Friday night. According to local residents and police sources, Musa Mia (23), son of deceased Hasen Ali, son of Jigatla village of Sohagi union of the upazila, got married on Friday night and came home with a new wife. After bringing the new wife home, the sound box started playing loud music. At this time, in view of the objections of the neighbors, Musa Mia reduced the volume of the song. Later, at 10:30 p.m., when the music started playing again, someone threw bricks at the house.

The thrown brick hit the head of Anesha Khatun in the courtyard. He was seriously injured. When the family members took him to Ishwarganj hospital in critical condition, the doctor on duty declared him dead. The police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for post-mortem. However, Panju demanded justice for those involved in this incident. PSM Mostachinur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ishwarganj police station said, the body has been recovered and sent to the morgue.
