Md Imran Mahmud, Jamalpur:  Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader MP said, We Jatiya Party supported Awami League in 2008, but since then there is no sense of gratitude among them. We went to them as friends, they accepted us as friends.

But they first made our organization, then they made them servants, now they want to make Jatiya Party a slave of Awami League. They want to control us in everything we do and don't do. We don't want to do politics under anyone's control, we want to do politics for the welfare of the country and nation.

He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the bi-annual conference of Jamalpur district Jatiya Party on Saturday (October 29) afternoon. He further said that the government party leaders were smuggling Rs 4 lakh crore in Switzerland alone in the last financial year alone. Next year, the debt taken from abroad for the mega project will have to be paid with interest of about 22 billion dollars, and for this reason, there will be no more reserves.

On the occasion of the conference, Jatiya Party leaders started coming to the city's Mirza Azam Auditorium in a festive atmosphere from morning. The formalities of the conference started at 11 o'clock.

Jatiya Party Presidium Member and District Jatiya Party Convener Mustafa Al Mahmud presided over the conference and Jatiya Party Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu MP was the main speaker.

Also Jatiya Party Senior Co-Chairman Barrister Anisul Haque Mahmud MP, Co-Chairman Syed Abu Hossain Babla etc. spoke. Later, Golam Mohammad Quader announced the name of Mustafa Al Mahmud as the president of the district Jatiya Party and Zakir Hossain Khan as the general secretary.
