Al Masud, Panchagarh: A madrasa student (14) was raped by two youths on her way home from a private school in Boda upazila of Panchagarh. The police have arrested 2 accused youths in the case filed by the victim's father. On Friday (October 28) afternoon, after all legal proceedings, the accused were sent to the district jail by the court. Earlier on Thursday (October 27), the victim's father filed a case under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act accusing the two youths of attempted rape. After the case, the Boda Thana Police conducted a special operation and arrested them from their house in Ghoramara Colony Para area of ​​Barashashi Union of Boda Upazila on Friday morning. The arrested are Feroz Ali (27) son of Abdul Siddique of Ghoramara Colony Para area of ​​Barashashi Union of Boda Upazila and Maruf Hossain (21) son of Riaz Uddin of the same area. The house of the victim madrasa student is in Barashashi Union of the same upazila. According to the case report, on Thursday afternoon, the victim madrasa student was returning home in the evening from Vaulaganj area of ​​Debiganj upazila after studying privately in the madrasa. Once he reached the Sakati Para area of ​​Barashashi Union of Boda Upazila, the two youths named Feroze and Maruf took him to the tea garden of a local man. Later, when they tried to rape the madrasa student there, Feroze and Maruf ran away due to her screams. Later, the victim madrasa student returned home and informed her mother. Later, the madrasa student's father filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act accusing the two youths of attempted rape on Thursday (October 27) night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boda Police Station Sujoy Kumar Roy confirmed the arrest of two youths on charges of attempted rape and said that in the afternoon they have been sent to court through the court. Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Boda police station and investigating officer of the case, Abu Bakar Siddique said, the statement of the madrasa girl has been taken under section 22. The two arrested youths gave their statement under section 164 after finding their guilt. They were sent to jail by the court on Friday afternoon.
