73 arrested in anti-narcotics campaign

News desk: Various crime and intelligence departments of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 73 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the capital. During the arrest, 20 thousand 810 pieces of Yaba, 49 kg of 995 grams of ganja, 285 grams of heroin and 50 bottles of Phencidil were seized from them. As part of DMP's regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested from 6 am on Thursday (October 27) to 6 am on Friday (October 28) from various police stations in the capital. 50 cases under Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
