The date of the inauguration of the first 6-lane Madhumati Bridge in the country has been announced

Sohel Rana, Narail: The country's first six-lane Kalna or 'Madhumati Setu' will be inaugurated on October 10. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the bridge through video conference. On Thursday (October 6) at noon, a preparatory meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Narail Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman presided over the meeting, Superintendent of Police Sadira Khatun, Additional Deputy Commissioner Fakrul Hasan, Mashrafe Bin Mortuza's father Golam Mortza Swapan, District Chamber of Commerce President Hasanuzzaman were present in the meeting. Narail Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Madhumati bridge on October 10 from 11 am to 1 pm. Extensive preparations have been made for this purpose. It is to be noted that Madhumati Bridge has been built with the funding of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under Cross Border Road Network Improvement Project of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman Roads and Public Ways (Soaz) Directorate. Kalnaghat of Narail on the western end of the bridge and Shankarpasha of Gopalganj on the eastern end. Distance from Kalnaghat to Dhaka is only 108 km. As a result, the road connectivity between Dhaka and the surrounding areas including Narail, Benapole, Jessore, Khulna will be reduced by 100 km in some places and 200 km in some places. However, on January 24, 2015, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone to be named 'Kalna Setu'.
