1 killed by electrocution while cutting bamboo in Tentulia

Al Masud, Panchagarh: A man named Azizul Islam (55) died after being electrocuted while cutting bamboo near his house in Panchagarh's Tentulia. The incident took place in Ganagach village of Bhajanpur union of Tentulia upazila on Thursday (October 6). The deceased Azizul is the son of Batasu from the same area. According to local sources, Azizul went to cut bamboo from a bamboo tree next to the house in Ganagach village in the morning. At that time, an electric wire on the side was attached to some bamboos. He got electrocuted while cutting bamboo carelessly. With the help of locals, the family members quickly rescued him and took him to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tentulia Model Police Station Abu Saeed Chowdhury confirmed the death of a man named Azizul Islam who was electrocuted while cutting bamboo.
