Two motorcyclists were killed in a car crash in Nilphamari

Mamunar Rashid Mithu, Neelphamari: 2 motorcyclists died after being hit by a microbus in Neelphamari. The accident took place at Kadikhol area of ​​Nilphamari - Syedpur highway on Tuesday at 7 pm. The deceased were Shahidul Kabir Babu and Imam Noor Al Raji Babu. Both of them are residents of Nilphamari Municipal area. According to the police and locals, Manoj Kumar Roy, additional secretary of the health service department, after a three-day official visit to Dinajpur district, came to his in-laws' house in Sonarai area of ​​Nilphamari before going to Dhaka. While leaving him, two people died on the spot when they were crushed by the official vehicle of Chiribandar Upazila Health and Family Planning Office. In this incident, the driver of the car, Ataur Rahman, was arrested by Nilphamari Police Station. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nilphamari Sadar Police Station Abdur Roup said, the motorcycle was coming from Syedpur at high speed during the evening drizzle. At that time, a government jeep coming from Nilphamari collided with the opposite direction. The car ran over them. Two motorcyclists died on the spot. After the incident, the driver of the government jeep (Dhaka Metto-Gh 18-5715) was caught by the local crowd at a place called Dhelapir while fleeing. The police are working to recover the body from the spot. Shahidul Islam, senior station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Uttara EPZ unit, said that they were killed by a heavy vehicle.
